Questions about opening a company in Moldova
What does Platinum cost?
It is assembled from what your business actually needs, so the figure is settled in a conversation rather than published in a table. You get a number on the first call.
Is Platinum only for large companies?
No. It suits a founder opening their first Moldovan company as readily as a group adding another entity. What it is built around is wanting the whole thing handled rather than managing it yourself from abroad.
My business is high-volume. Does the included accounting still apply?
Yes, and it is scoped to the business rather than capped. A holding company with four invoices a month and a retail network with four hundred employees are not the same job, so the work is sized before you engage and priced into the figure you agree.
What does not happen is a surprise. You will not be told in month seven that your volume has outgrown the arrangement — whatever we agree at the start covers the full year.
I already have a company. Can you take it over?
Yes. We take on the accounting, payroll and filings of companies registered elsewhere, and fix the tax regime or IT Park position if it was chosen badly.
Can a foreign citizen open a company in Moldova?
Yes. There is no residency requirement — a foreign founder can own a Moldovan company outright, with no local partner and no nominee. Non-residents need an IDNP, a state identification number, which we obtain for you along with the beneficial owner declaration.
What legal form will my company have?
An SRL — Moldova's limited liability company, the equivalent of an LLC. It is the form almost every business here uses, and the one Platinum is built around.
How long will I need to be in Moldova?
It depends on your passport more than on your company. Entry conditions, what a notary and a bank will ask a citizen of your country to produce, and how long those documents take to verify all vary — for some passports it is short, for others it is not.
We work it out from your passport before you book anything and plan the visit around the answer, with appointments arranged around your flights rather than the other way round. Everything that does not need you in the room is finished before you land.
What do I need to bring?
Your passport, and whatever we have asked you for in advance — usually proof of address, and, depending on the bank, something showing where your funds come from. Nothing else.
Documents are drafted, translated and legalised before you arrive. Anything we need signed is put in front of you at the appointment, explained first, rather than chased after you have gone home.
Which language will we work in?
English, Romanian or Russian as standard. A German, Spanish or Italian authorised translator can be arranged for the notary, but tell us early — there are few in Moldova and they are booked ahead.
